New fragrance brand Tola launched by Emarati perfumer
Emarati perfumer Daher bin Daher launched his first fragrance brand Tola last week to a high-profile audience in Dubai, where guests discovered the new scents and learned about Daher’s journey as he concocted these exclusive Arabesque aromas.
Daher was first introduced to perfumery by his mother. Like many others in the Gulf, she practiced the art of mixing perfume oils and creating bukhoor (perfumed agar wood for incense) in a secret tradition that had been passed on throughout generations.
“She filled our home with a rich bouquet of smell that unmistakably embodied her passion, spirit and love. I want to capture some of that passion for perfection and share it with the world by creating a line of fragrances inspired by the traditional origins and modern aspirations of our daily lives,” Daher explained.

Tola embarks on its first journey with a set of six fragrances. Each scent was inspired by its own tale, and some say these perfumes stir up the feelings from each story. Gulbadan evokes memories of young love with a subtle blend of oriental flowers, citrus and cedar. Misk Begumwill leave you hopeful for a bright future with a nostalgic nod to simpler times.
Anbar is a heady fragrance that plays on your boldly inquisitive nature. With its sensual allure, Masha embodies feminine mystique. Just one breath of Shahzadaand you’ll be ready to embark on the adventure of your lifetime. Misqaal (an ancient unit of measure reserved for gold and expensive spices) creates the essence of fabled princess from the Orient. Each fragrance invites you to set sail on a different voyage.
