For Fall/Winter 2012, Symphony continues its growing tradition of setting milestones in the regional fashion industry. After shooting with ANTM’s Raina Hein, influential style blogger Tommy Ton and Russian socialite Mira Duma, a back-to-basics approach with a local focus is what keeps the brand fresh as it gears up for the exciting new season.

In collaboration with Emirati artist Mariam Abbas, Symphony has launched a mixed media campaign – marking a first in the region – that fuses Fall/Winter 2012′s most coveted wares with Abbas’ specialty in pointillism, a technique of creating images out of a long, painstaking process using hand drawn dots. The result? Imagery that speaks of beauty and simplicity and catches your attention without the need for big fashion personalities or breathtaking backdrops.

The stunning Autumn/Winter 2012 pieces from the likes of Alessandra Rich, Madiyah Al Sharqi, Sarah Baadarani, Zac Posen, Katie Ermilio and Vika Gazinskaya were shot on mannequins in a studio environment. These images were then digitally cut for Mariam to work her magic on.

Working closely with Mariam, the luxury fashion retailer built the campaign images around the concept of an chic and elegant Symphony woman, and illustrated this season’s wares using Mariam’s pointillism technique, digital graphic design and fashion illustration.
