Middle East-based luxury designer label Dramaqueen, the brainchild of fashion entrepreneur Barkha Shewakramani is set to gain international prominence with the brand’s launch in the UK and India this Fall.

The uber-stylish ‘Dramaqueen’ label has enthralled Dubai’s trend-conscious, socialite crowd since its launch five years ago, and has gone on to capture the hearts of style-savvy women the world over. After four successful seasons of cutting-edge collections, Dramaqueen is now set to launch its debut Indian set in the fashion hub of Mumbai in September 2012.

The Dramaqueen label epitomises the modern woman and her search for affordable, versatile and well-designed clothes. The signature collections feature an array of design elements, from beautifully tailored day classics to retro party wear with embellishments and brocade stitching. The fabrics used reflect each occasion, from soft chiffons to raw silks and on-trend lace.

Why do we love this label? Well, we’re all for fashion exploring its role in corporate social responsibility, and Dramaqueen is the perfect example of a fashion company doing its bit to help the less fortunate as it channels its proceeds to The Lupus Foundation, a charitable organisation founded by Barkha to provide assistance to people who are afflicted with the disease including herself.
