Remember when we wrote about Shoes of Prey, that Australian startup which lets you create and order bespoke DIY shoes online? Well, that exact same stiletto shopping concept has landed in the UAE courtesy of Milk and Honey Shoes.

Well, it’s not exactly a local business, so the shoes would still be flown in from abroad, adding shipping costs to the total bill, but we’re thinking Milk and Honey Shoes’ cult following among celebrities like Ginnifer Goodwin would compensate for that tiny inconvenience.

Milk and Honey enables you to let out your inner shoe designer through an easy-to-use, step-by-step online engine that allows you to choose the shoe type, material, colour, trims and embellishments to create that one-of-a-kind statement pair. Exotic skin lovers, don’t despair, M&H offers croc and snake skin too.

The shoe builder does feel a bit clunky, but that doesn’t take away from the quality of the finished product. Plus, it gets the job done.

It also doesn’t show realistic mock-ups of the pair you’re designing – it looks a bit cartoonish while you’re working on your shoes – so you should expect some minor differences between the online version and the physical product.
