Chloé Eau de Parfum
Chloé’s newly unveiled signature scent captures the creative, confident individuality of the Chloé woman. A fresh and feminine fragrance suited to a free spirit with an utterly innate sense of chic.
The Chloé vision is not about one singular woman, but rather about the rich and varied personalities of all Chloé women. Three young women were chosen to incarnate the mercurial aspects of the Chloé spirit. These three contemporary faces share self-assurance, energy, and irreverence, balanced by a natural beauty and elegance.
Clémence Poésy, Actress: “The Chloé fragrance, in their words: “The scent is young, fresh and romantic. It’s something that will always be in style.”
Anja Rubik, Model: “The Chloé fragrance is very sexy, floral and unique. It’s modern, romantic, fresh and light – it is for every Chloé woman yet it feels personal at the same time.”
Chloë Sevigny, Actress: “I’ve been collecting vintage Chloé pieces for years – there is something soft and very pretty, gorgeous and not too precious about them. The fragrance feels very similar, is almost edible, it’s beautiful – i keep on smelling it and taking it in. And I love the bottle; it feels nice in your hand.”
In the same way as Chloé fashion playfully twists notions of femininity, so too does the scent as it takes the classic rose and ingeniously translates it into a vibrant perfume: in turns translucent and warm, playful and seductive.
Robertet perfumers Michel Almairac and Amandine Marie worked to distill Chloé’s beguiling, liberated essence through a combination of floral powdery notes, sprightly hints of peony and lychee, and the embellishment of springtime freesia. The airy, flirtatious head notes drift away to reveal the richer and more sensual side of the rose, derived from the velvety interior of the flower. The rose is accompanied by heady magnolia and lily of the valley, as well as subtle intimations of warm amber and elegant cedarwood. This complex yet intuitive blend effortlessly characterizes the cool chic of the Chloé woman.
An enduring bottle just as the fragrance fuses classic elements with fresh ideas, and airy sweetness with woody strength. The flacon is a study in opposites. Designer Patrick Veillet drew on the intricate detail of the sleeve of a Chloé blouse as the inspiration for the delicately pleated glass walls of the square flacon.
An oval cap plays off the strong lines while a silver collar adds a nostalgic feel. The metal plaque is a unique example of craftsmanship rarely seen in modern perfumery, and graced with the finishing touch, a loosely knotted petal-colored ribbon.
In an emotional portraiture, the campaign focuses on the three Chloé women in the close-up, black-and-white vein of traditional studio photographers, updated with unpredictable innovation by art director Ezra Petronio and photographic team Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. The stripped-down, naturalistic style creates an intimate one-on-one conversation revealing each woman’s inner beauty and character.
Actresses Chloë Sevigny and Clémence Poésy, and model Anja Rubik, are portrayed in a revelatory and totally inimitable moment in time. An emotional picture that translates the essential Chloé spirit, complete with its iconic vision of sensuality, strength, and individualism.
The collection includes Chloé eau de parfum in 30, 50, 75 and 200ml, Chloé perfumed shower gel in 200ml, and Chloé perfumed deodorant spray in 100ml.
