Vogue Paris mimics The Sartorialist
This is probably what the folks at TIME Magazine were thinking when they decided to include Scott Schuman, the man behind the wildly popular street style blog The Sartorialist, in the list of 100 Top Design Influencers.
The industry wasn’t quite sure how this happened, but TIME might have foreseen that Vogue Paris would pay tribute to The Sartorialist’s signature photography style in a fashion editorial for their June/July 2011 issue. Perhaps we’ve been checking out the blog so much that we associate any form of photography that involves streets and clothes with Scott Schuman.
The styling, in fashion magazine standards, is not quite up to par, but given the fact that this is presumably a satire of Schuman’s fascination with double-breasted coats, polka dots and homeless person scarves, we’d say it’s a spot-on imitation of the usual photos found on The Sartorialist.
