Reem Acra’s Shopbop capsule collection is no budget line

Reem Acra, one of the Middle East’s representatives to the global fashion arena, is set to launch a capsule collection for online shopping site Shopbop composed of ready-to-wear pieces, bridal gowns and accessories.

Shopbop’s collaboration with the Reem Acra brand, known across the globe for its couture-like bridal designs and evening gowns, is the site’s attempt at  strengthening its recently-launched bridal boutique in order to compete with Net-a-porter’s strong selection of wedding-related pieces, from dresses to veils and headpieces to jewellery.

Excited? This designer x retailer combination is no Versace for H&M, be aware. The price point for Reem Acra’s Shopbop capsule collection is positioned just a tad higher, from a beaded head band selling for $450 (~ AED 1,700) to the Sunset Boulevard bridal gown with a characteristically high-fashion $5,400 (~ AED 20,000) price tag.
