Remember how you love Chanel handbags so much you’d kill for just the strap? Well, that instantly recognisable interlocking gold and leather chain lends its iconic status to Chanel’s latest Prestige eyewear collection.

Of course, the frame isn’t made of leather, although that would have been really cool because the sunglasses would technically be lady goggles. But no, Chanel’s eyewear line for Fall/Winter 2011 gets ornamented temples that have been designed to mimic the maison’s handbag straps, which have been used as full-fledged accessories of their own, from belts to necklaces to headpieces.
