Esmod Dubai launches 3-month fashion programmes
Catering to the growing demand for specialised fashion programs in the Middle East, Esmod Dubai, the leading fashion school in the region, has announced a new Haute Couture & Ready-To-Wear Collections course that will be personally conducted by Christophe Beaufays, the much-admired fashion designer and consultant and Creative Assistant of world-renowned French haute couture fashion designer Jean-Paul Gaultier. The three-month course offers 100 per cent hands-on training and will be exclusive to a limited number of students. Esmod Dubai has further revealed that applications are now being accepted, with the registration deadline set for November 18, 2010.

The Haute Couture & Ready-To-Wear Collections course will cover lessons in Draping, the art of classic dress draping by flat cutting; Live Tailoring Introduction to jackets deconstruction and reconstruction; and Live Draping Geometrical body wrapping with fabric. Students of the program will receive a certificate and a recommendation letter from Christophe Beaufays.

This new program will certainly serve as a stepping for young designers to aspire and achieve greater recognition and success in the world of fashion. “
Mr. Beaufays serves as the Artistic Director of Esmod Dubai and is responsible for establishing the university’s creative direction and ensuring that the creations of Esmod Dubai students are in tune with international fashion trends. He has been recognised for his contributions in the success of world-renowned designer Jean Paul Gaultier, one of the most influential designers of the contemporary fashion era who is also behind some of the most iconic fashion creations of the last ten years.
Esmod Dubai has been renowned for producing quality students, including Moza al Mazrou, who won the Splash Award last month and showcased her first collection during the Dubai Fashion Week. Mrs. Al Mazrou studied fashion design and pattern drafting at Esmod Dubai.. Mrs. Nasrin Dechache has also been selected to participate as an emerging talents and present a collection at the Dubai Fashion Week. Since its inception in 2006, Esmod Dubai has been accommodating a steadily growing number of students in its mission to capitalise on the region’s booming fashion industry and the steady drift of the Middle Eastern consumer towards haute couture. The Dubai Esmod school now embraces students from 55 different countries, of which over 55 per cent are GCC nationals and UAE locals.
